Peer Support Consultation

Over the last few months we have been asking Carers what type of peer support they value and if they would like different types of peer support. We have had input from over 80 Carers who have identified some new ways they would like to experience peer support.

Top of the league table are:
1. Walking
2. Yoga
3. Tai Chi
4. Art/Art and Craft Activities.

We would now like to gauge the wider interest in being involved in these activities so that we can focus our research to see what is possible for us to facilitate.  If you would like to participate in, lead or co-facilitate any of the above activities please contact the Carers’ Centre to let us know: or call 020 8877 1200

We would like to thank all the Carers that were involved in the consultation.

Help review and develop types of peer-support available at the Carers’ Centre

We want to hear your views and for you to shape the type of peer support you want to see in Wandsworth.

Now is your chance to say what you would like – a Carers Choir, a Peer Support Group, Peer Training, a Walking Group or a Buddying system and we will work with you to develop a range of Peer Support Systems that emphasise the ‘Peer’ in peer support.

Come along to the first Peer Support Consultation Event here at the Carers’ Centre:

Location:    181 Wandsworth High Street

Date:            Tuesday 15th September

Time:           11.30am to 1pm.

Please call to let us know you will be attending. If you can’t make this date don’t worry we will have lots of different ways you can let us know what you are interested in. Feel free to phone, email or talk to Carers’ Centre Staff with your suggestions.
