We are all keen that Carers only have to tell their story once and to support that to happen we will now have one shared register. This means that designated staﬀ from Bluebird Care and the Alzheimer’s Society can access the register if you are going to receive a service from them under the new contract.
What do you have to do
If you are already registered with Wandsworth Carers’ Centre and are happy with the above arrangement you do not need to do anything as we will assume that you are happy to opt into the new partnership register. If however you do not want to be on the new register please contact us as soon as possible and by 21st August 2015 at the latest. Please be aware that to receive a service under the new contract you will need to be on the Carers Register. New Ways of Working
We are very pleased to say that all the current staﬀ that you know at the Carers’ Centre are still with us. You will however notice some changes to the way we work. We have moved away from a project based approach to a more holistic service with a new Support and Information Service that is open from 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm Monday to Thursday.
All new enquiries will be supported by this service initially. If you need a specialist service the support and information service will arrange for one of our colleagues in the Partnership to contact you – e.g. dementia, substance misuse or respite. The Wandsworth Oﬃce will continue to be open for drop in Monday to Thursday from 10am to 5pm and we will also continue to answer the phones at Wandsworth from 9.30am to 5.30pm.
