Carl Holvey, Deputy Chief Mental Health Pharmacist, South West London & St George’s NHS Trust, will talk about the range of medication commonly prescribed for mental health conditions, side effects and interactions with other treatments.  He will also answer Carers’ questions

If you are interested in the work of Mind and what they offer to promote well-being and mental health in the borough, come along to the Group for Carers of Adults who Experience a Mental Illness,  on Thursday 12th October 2017 from 2 pm to 4 pm at the Carers’ Centre, Wandsworth office.


Sue Scott, Head of Development and Quality at Wandsworth and Westminister Mind will be our guest speaker and is eager to hear from Carers.

– Compassion Practitioner

A Compassion Practitioner will talk about the practice of compassion-based mediation at the August meeting of the group.  Careers will also have the chance to try it out.  Compassion Cultivation Training has been developed in the USA and helps people to manage stress and to be less critical of themselves and others.

Backed by psychological research, it improves participants’ and kindness.  if you care for someone with a mental health issue and would like to attend the group, which will run from 2pm to 4pm please call the Wandsworth Office on 020 8877 1200
