Carer Participation and Training
We know that Carers are experts in caring, and in the condition of the person they care for and that’s why Carers Partnership Wandsworth is committed to working together with Carers as the fourth partner.
Carers are involved in helping design, deliver and evaluate services delivered by the partnership.
Some examples of things Carers have co-produced include:
- Designing our promotional materials
- Reviewing and updating our Carer registration form
- Helping develop and deliver Carers’ training and workshops
- Co-Producing our Events
Our Carer Participation Service brings Carers and Professionals together to share experiences and develop and shape services together.
Carers interested in representing other Carers are interviewed, trained and supported in their role. Carer Representatives currently attend:
- Mental Health Clinical Reference Group
- Substance Misuse Clinical Reference Group
- Learning Disability Clinical Reference Group
- Carers’ Forum
- Carers’ Partnership Board
Our Carer Participation Officer supports Carers to have their voice heard and influence services, through recruiting, training and supporting Carer Representatives.
