This is a new Service being offered by Cross Roads South Thames:
The Mentoring Project is designed to work specifically with hard to reach communities such as Refugees, Black and Ethnic minorities and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender ( LGBT) people.
The goal is to provide support and mentoring to those who may be reluctant to use agencies or services and perhaps may not consider themselves as Carers, even though they might be caring or have cared for an older person, a partner, adult or child with physical or learning disabilities or adults with mental health issues.
We aim to be a source of advice, emotional support and information on Carers’ issues and the availability of services.
With our ongoing training and support, our Volunteer Mentors will be a valuable support for carers living within the London Boroughs of Merton, Lambeth, Croydon, Sutton and Wandsworth, providing them with much needed advice and support.
