Wandsworth Carers’ Centre (WCC) has been working with local Carers to help initiate their own Carer-led forum and get it up and running.
At the initial session 11 Carers were involved and had the chance to start to explore what it is they want the forum to do. As part of these discussions the forum began to identify the issues it might want to address and what they will need to be able to do this. Following this session they have decided to continue with the Forum and details of the next session will be available shortly. The Carers who attended were very keen to expand the group and welcome any other Carers who are interested to join them.
The Forum is;
Open to all Carers,
There to address the issues that its members choose,
Supported by the Centre should Carers wish and we will be very happy to provide this where required.
WCC are not here to lead the work but are willing to help arrange initial meetings to enable you, as a group of Carers working together, come up with your own plans on how you want the group to operate and what you want it to achieve.
